This policy explains what personal data DopeShope ("we") collects when you use this website, why, and the choices you have. It is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, mobile number, gender and (optionally) date of birth.
- Delivery addresses you save.
- Orders: items, amounts, payment method, delivery status, returns.
- Saved cards: only the cardholder name, card type, expiry and the last 4 digits. We never store full card numbers or CVV.
- Reviews, wishlist and messages you send us.
- Technical data such as IP address and browser type, used for security and to prevent abuse.
Why we use it
- To process, deliver and support your orders, returns and refunds.
- To send order confirmations, delivery updates and password-reset emails.
- To keep your account secure and prevent fraud.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (for example GST invoices).
We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers who help us run the store, and only what they need:
- Courier partners (name, address, phone) to deliver your order.
- Payment providers to process payments.
- Email, hosting, database and image-storage providers that operate our systems.
- Authorities, when required by law.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your delivery pincode. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active. Order and invoice records are kept as long as tax laws require, even after an account is deleted.
Your rights
- View and correct your details under Account › Profile and Addresses.
- Delete your account under Account › Delete Account.
- Ask us about, or object to, how we use your data by contacting us.
Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, sessions expire automatically, and access to customer data is restricted to authorised staff.
